360 Degree Feedback

As part of performance improvement process in organisations, we manage 360-degree feedback process, which can be rolled out to the whole organisation, or a selected group such as top management or a department.

What is 360 Degree Feedback?

360 Degree feedback is based on the notion that others know aspects of a person’s behaviour of which the person themselves may be unaware.

360 Degree Feedback involves the people in an individual’s entire circle of influence, rather than just their supervisor, providing feedback about their performance. The feedback is usually an aggregation of the perception of raters, based on a structured questionnaire.

By providing a structured feedback opportunity, such as a 360 degree feedback, the person receives valuable feedback form others about their perception in relation to a set of defined behavioural capabilities.

“Others” may include the person's peers, managers, project team, leader/s, subordinates, customers, clients and suppliers

For 360 degree feedback to deliver value to the organisations well as the individual, the competency framework needs to be developed so that it reflects the values, behaviours and capabilities that the organisation wishes to encourage.

360 Degree Feedback has been found to be a very successful tool when used in conjunction with either performance improvement or executive coaching programs.
